Yolanda (a.k.a "Yo") is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  She began her singing career through an impromptu audition that propelled her directly into the local Pop Circuit at the ripe age of 16.  A prodigy of Dr. Harry Clark, ( successful vocal trainer) of Pittsburgh, then prepared  her for her next move to the west coast.  She moved to Los Angeles where she began recording for Lalomie Washburne which advanced her to  toured in Japan with Andrew Gouche .  After about 6 months in Japan, she returned to the West Cost (Los Angeles) where she received a great opportunity to be a background vocalist for the touring Cheryl Lynn who was the opening act for Late Great Luther Vandross. While in Los Angeles, Yo bridged a contact with Jermaine Jackson of the "Jackson 5" where she and Portia Griffin (top background vocalist in  the business) completed background vocals on his album "Dynamite".​

Yolanda then returned to the Pittsburgh area

where she performed in the Jazz as well as R&B Circuits.  She was voted "Pittsburgh's Best Vocalist" during a W-A-M-O Radio Competition in the late 90's. In 2001 - 2003, she was a production singer for the Carnival Cruise Line.  In 2003-2010 she advanced to become one of Carnival's Cruise Line Head Guest Entertainer.  Additionally, Yo has opened for entertainment greats such as, Aretha Franklin and Little Richard.  Yo, amazingly recorded the closing song in the movie "The Temptations".  In the song "My Buddy", Yo accompanied the one and only Smokey Robinson.
